Brienzersee

Lake Brienz (German: Brienzersee) is a lake just north of the Alps, in the Canton of Berne in Switzerland. The lake took its name from the village Brienz on its northern shore. Interlaken and the villages Matten and Unterseen lie to the south west of the lake. The shores are steep, and there is almost no shallow water in the entire lake. The character of the lake is different to its neighbour, that of Thun. Its chief affluent is the Lütschine (flowing from the valleys of Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen).

Descasque-as e deixe arrefecer. Derreta um pouco de manteiga numa frigideira de ferro e rale as batatas directamente para dentro, através de um ralador com furos largos. Alise a superfície. Tempere com sal, pimenta e noz-moscada. Deixe ganhar crosta do outro lado. Sirva quente.

Schneider Weiss

Foi a minha cerveja de eleição na Suiça. Como sempre saborosa ... um toque acentuadamente doce no final.

Tipo: Weissbier
Origem: Private Weissbierbrauerei G. Schneider & Sohn, Munique - Baviera, Alemanha
Características: 5,4º

With its amber-mahogany coloring and streaked with fine top-fermented yeast, this beer has a fine, persistent head that adheres well to the glass. It is pleasantly fruity with a typical top-fermented smell, an aroma of clove and nutmeg apple tantalizes the nose. On the tongue it is fresh, clean, full-bodied, harmonious and well-balanced. It finishes with a light, delicate taste of bitters leaving behind a sour impression.

História: G. Schneider & Sohn is a Bavarian brewery company founded in 1872 by Georg Schneider I and his son of the same name, after they acquired the Weisses Brauhaus in Munich, the oldest wheat beer brewery in the city. In 1927 the owners, who to this day are descendants of Georg Schneider I, expanded their brewing operations into Kelheim and Straubing. After the breweries in Munich were destroyed in 1944 by bombing, the entire production was relocated to Kelheim.

Trümmelbachfälle

The Trummelbach Falls (In German: Trümmelbachfälle) in Switzerland are a series of ten glacier-waterfalls inside the mountain made accessible by tunnel-lift and illuminated. The Trummelbach alone drains the mighty glacier defiles of Eiger (3970 m), Mönch (4099 m) and Jungfrau (4158 m) and carries 20,200 tons of boulder detritus per year. Its drainage area is 24 km², half of it covered by snow and glaciers. The falls carry up to 20,000 liters of water per second.

Swiss Alps Jungfrau-Aletsch (Tipo:vii, viii, ix)

. My Switzerland

Lauterbrunnental

It’s hard to overstate just how stunning the LAUTERBRUNNEN VALLEY is – even hardened Alpinists shrug their shoulders and call it the most beautiful valley in Europe, bar none. An immense U-shaped valley (the world’s deepest) with bluffs on either side rising 1000m sheer, doused by some 72 waterfalls, it is utterly spectacular. Lauterbrunnen village itself lies on the valley floor, while the slopes above nurture two of Switzerland’s most appealing little resorts. Mürren to the west is the transfer point for the dramatic cable-car ride up to the Schilthorn peak, while Wengen to the east is a stop on the train line up to Kleine Scheidegg and the Jungfraujoch. Both of them are car-free, perched on narrow shelves of pasture way above the world below, and both offer some of the best hiking and skiing to be had in the Alps.
