Estratégicamente situado en pleno casco monumental de Plasencia, es el lugar ideal para conocer las bellezas arquitectónicas de esta singular ciudad así como los maravillosos paisajes naturales que la rodean. |

Crítica:
I had seen photos from Parador de Plasencia on the Internet before I visited it and I was really looking forward to the stay. I was NOT disappointed! When I strolled around in the old convent I felt very privileged. Without emptying my wallet, I was able to stay here with atmosphere and history everywhere and to dine in the fantastic restaurant. I have visited several Paradors, but this one is one of my favourites.

The Parador was the former Convent of Santo Domingo, founded in the middle of the 15th Century, built in Gothic style in the town walls.Outros links:
The name ”Plasencia” was given to this town by its founder king Alfonso VIII, meaning ”pleasant for God and for men” and it certainly was. Absolutely fantastic
The restaurant served the local dishes of the region so the theme here was the food from Estamadura - dishes are very much meats and veg.
