Westmalle
Turva, sabor intenso e final porlongado. Excelente equilíbrio de alcool. Uma delícia. Agradeço aos meus amigos Belgas a oportunidade de a saborear.
Brewed and bottled by the Trappist Monastery of Westmalle. Hazy gold color with a slightly greenish hue and finely-beaded mousse. The aromas are of sweet, toasty pale malt and tangy, citrusy hops with a touch of earthy yeast. A smooth, well-carbonated entry leads to a sweet, tart, medium-to-full bodied palate with tangy malt, alcohol, and kumquat like hops. Finishes with a nice fade of tart fruit, bready yeast and mild dusty hops. Crisp, highly drinkable, and a classic representation of the abbey trippel style. Score of 94 in All About Beers Magazine.
For more than 200 years now the monks in the Abbey of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart in Westmalle have been brewing the famous Westmalle Triple beer. With a high alcohol content of 9% combined with a good mix of hops and malt it is absolutely a delight to drink. Once poured it reveals a lovely cloudy golden yellow/orange color and its foam is smooth but steady, giving an impression of calm... A strong taste of alcohol strengthens its fruity aroma. It also has excellent digestive qualities.
